Wet 31 Liquid – This was a predominant test winner from a series of test products aimed at wet conditions last spring. The wet category is the biggest challenge in fluoro free waxing, and all companies are working hard to address the demands of wet conditions. There are lots of ideas and new materials still on the table for testing. For now, this is the best product from testing (with feedback from several national teams) in the spring of '24 and it will be supplied to teams for the winter of '24-'25.
Thus far all of the Star “Warm” products, including Next Warm, Next Dark Warm, and Beta Warm, have found their place in racing and are regularly used with success. Next Warm seems good in quite fresh warm snow. Next Dark is good in fully transformed and icy conditions – it’s quite a hard and wear resistant wax so it deals with abrasion and dirt very well. And Beta Warm (especially in combination with Beta Warm Block) is really good in hard or packing transformed and icy conditions. The new Wet product is really aimed at saturated spring snow – the “full wet” conditions when it all goes to hell.
