Star Durable Race Liquid
Extremely wear-resistant liquid suitable for cold dry snow on its own, but intended to be used as a base for other liquids.
We wanted a liquid version of this product because it sounded interesting, and because we thought it would run fast on its own. And it does! It was used as a final layer for World Cup podiums already at the start of the 23-34 season. But over the course of the 2023-24 season we found that it is pretty much always an appropriate first layer for any other Star liquid, and it ensures quite long-lasting wear resistance in abrasive conditions. By the end of last season we gave up testing, and unless the snow was brand new (almost never last year), we just ran a layer of Durable liquid as the first liquid layer, under the test winner for the final layers.
