The Beta block waxes are formulated to applied using the 12mm roto fleece. These waxes have unique chemistry in the Star line-up. They have unique lubricating qualities, and work especially well as a base for subsequent liquid layers.
The Beta Cold block has been race wax in combination with Next Cold liquid on many occasions, especially in very cold and high humidity conditions.
