The Beta Race Project from Star has grown out of our desire to make sure that we're able to sell the products that we expect to use in racing. These Beta waxes aren't in the standard Star catalog. Call it race-service wax if you want.
The Beta liquids have the same base chemistry and ceramic additive as the normal Next liquids, but they also have a metal additive that provides advantages when the snow is icy, packed, or packing. The Beta Medium liquid is best suited to finer grained packing snow, including high moisture falling new snow. It really shines in classic "zero" conditions. Beta Medium liquid consistently tests best when it is applied over Beta Medium block. Like the Next liquids, these will dry fast, and should be finished with with a 22mm fleece at high RPMs. They will turn your fleece black, so we recommend a dedicated fleece!
