The Tornado Light is the newest generation top-end racing pole from KV+ with what we feel is the best combination of weight and swing weight we've tested. What you experience as the weight of a pole in your hand has to do with the actual mass of the pole, but it has to do equally with the distribution of mass, the swing weight, and the ergonomics. This is the best and lightest feeling pole we've tried, including the most current models from other top brands. This model ships with powder baskets which are easily swapped using the KV+ QCD system.
I was using a pair of these Tornado Light poles last season until I let Dave Johnston borrow them. Then I was obligated to sell them to him. I am looking forward to getting back on the snow with them this year. They make me a better skier.
We only stock this pole up to 175cm kit length. 180cm are available from the distributor but sometimes lead time is required. We recommend the Tornado Plus for people who need poles longer than 175. You tall people have too many advantages already.
We custom cut all our KV+ poles from kits. Make sure to specify your desired pole length - we will cut the shafts and glue the handles on. If you want an uncut kit just say "uncut" in the Pole Cut Length option field.
