The Tornado Plus has been the go-to pole for top level KV+ racers since it was introduced as a flagship pole in 2017. At the time it introduced the added stiffness and strength of the PTT Carbon wrap in the lower third of the pole shaft without changing the weight of the previous benchmark Tornado model pole (which is now the Tornado Pink). All companies have produced incrementally lighter poles since 2017, and the KV+ Tornado light occupies that slot in the line-up. But the Tornado Plus has the best track record in racing for resisting breakage in chaotic mass start events, and is still used when the optimal combination of durability and weight is required.
We custom cut all our KV+ poles from kits. Make sure to specify your desired pole length - we will cut the shafts and glue the handles on. If you want an uncut kit just say "uncut" in the Pole Cut Length option field.
The Tornado Plus is also one of the only models with the strength and stiffness to work in the 185cm length. 185cm kits are available.
