This is a brand-new product from Red Creek that we've been testing recently. Corks work by generating heat through friction - basically they turn your elbow grease into heat. It doesn't take a huge amount of heat to smooth out kick wax, but fluoro compounds are another matter. Particularly fluoroblocks, which need to be corked quite aggressively to ensure optimal durability. This is the best cork we've used for fluoro application. It's still work, but its finished sooner and done better with a high friction cork.
KG from Red Creek says that the corks also work well on kick wax, and one of our friends in Sweden saw the Norwegian wax team using them to smooth klister in cold conditions. High friction means high heat and less work. Think about it.
